This antique French timeworn cross with it`s angel or cherub vignette dates from the 1920s. This piece came to me in a recent attic clearance here in Normandie. I have given it a quick dust but it would clean much better!It would most likely have been a gift for a Baptism or Christening.Made of old celluloid it has taken on an old tea colour with the passage of time.The cherub has tumbling curls and his wings splayed around his face.The top is open, there are no cracks or chips.Measurements:Height 16.5cmsWidth max 9cmsA delightful period cross for any vieille maison dispay.Belle brocante and period confections full of faded grandeur from simply-chateau.
