This porcelain teapot , was made in China , and was made for the export market , circa 1770 . The handle and spout are nicely moulded with embossed decoration and it is handpainted with chinese pagoda scenes . The pattern on the cover is different than the teapot , but obviously by the same factory as they are very similar, and is very well matched . It stands at 6 1/2\" high and measures 8 3/4\" from the spout to the handle . There is a repaired chip , on the edge of the cover , as shown , there is no other damage .
