Presented is avery pretty CHINESE EXPORT SILVER APPLIED BIRD & PLUM BLOSSOM TEAPOTmade by LUENWO of SHANGHAI c.1900

The teapot iscovered on both sides withAPPLIED decoration of BIRDS and PLUM BLOSSOM TREES. This decoration is CAST and then APPLIED to the teapot. The birds feathers and the flowers are also finely engraved. The HANDLE, SPOUT and FINIAL are of TREE BARK FORM. The lid/cover has similar APPLIED PLUM BLOSSOM. A nice feature of the teapot is the PLUM BLOSSOM BRANCHES are APPLIEDto the TREE BARK FORM HANDLE creating a strong NATURALISTIC effect.

The teapot measuresapprox. 9.5 inches (24cm) end of handle to tip of spout. It weighs approx. 17 troy ounces or 528 grams. It is clearly hallmarked underneath for LUENWO of SHANGHAI c.1900.

Condition is EXCELLENT withSUPER CRISPapplied decoration. There isNO damage and NO repairs whatsoever. There is only normal surface scratching.
