Featured for sale is a Rare, 18th Century, Signed and Fire-GILDED BRONZE STATUE by the Renowned French Artist Claude Michel CLODION (1738 - 1814).

This Finely Sculpted and Cast, Fire-Gilded and Graceful Sculpture features all the Artistic Perks for the Lovers of the Fruits of the Vine... Clodion\'s Masterpiece, balanced with taste and wonderful flowing lines, has the Iconic Bacchanalian Subjects of the Tambourine, Panpipes, Grapes, Saytr and a Pine Cone.

It has some natural minor casting cracks from when it was originally cast (no damage), and the condition is good with some colored patina evident, due to its age. The Gilding has some slight wear at some of the edges and few marks on the arms (see photos), while the Green Marble Base is in Very Good Condition.

This Classical Sculpture features the high-quality, now-forofferden technique of Gold Fire-Gilding, after being cast in Bronze using the 100% Lost Wax technique... This painstakingly-crafted Gilded Bronze Sculpture is Beautiful to observe from all angles (see photos), and will make a Delightful and Valuable Addition to any Bronze collection.
