This is a nice Civil War Florida Railroad item, a sheet of 5 meal tickets and receipts for the Pensacola and Georgia Railroad, which had been chartered in 1852 to build a railroad line from Pensacola to the Georgia border. This sheet of tickets is complete, measuring approximately 15 inches high by 8 inches wide, and it will display very nicely.

This is a great piece of early Florida Railroad memorabilia, a very rare item from the Confederate state of Florida, for the collector of Civil War and/or antique Railroad memorabilia.

(In the last 35 years, ever since I bought a small lot of these tickets, I have never seen any others, anywhere)

The Pensacola and Georgia Railroad was chartered in 1852 and began construction to connect Jacksonville, Tallahassee and Pensacola. Then not long after the Civil War ended, the P & G RR merged with the Tallahassee Railroad to form the Jacksonville, Pensacola and Mobile Railroad).

This item is guaranteed ORIGINAL - IT IS GENUINE, NOT A REPRINT OR REPRODUCTION OF ANY SORT! It is a century and a half old, and in very good condition overall. Due to its age, however, there is some wrinkling and a little discoloration to the paper (see scans), but this relatively minor imperfection for a Confederate railroad document that survived the War and 150 years afterwards, and it does not at all significantly detract from the great display potential of this historic piece. Because of the resultant weight and the size of the package, for shipping within the United States, Priority Mail is the best (and also fastest) way to send this.
