Canadian trench art inert shell lamp with badge rare :

Please check my other sales as well. This is a highly unusual piece of Canadian trench art, although I\'m sure it was made in a shop. For the base a piston from a large engine like a tank or aircraft was cut down, then an inert shell with Canadian badge affixed to the center of it was mounted to the piston. A hand hammered bowl shaped shade tops it off, the wiring is newer than World War II but not modern. The shell and shade have been chrome or nickel plated, and there is a few small spots of flaking off and bubbling under the chrome on the shell, hard to see in the pictures because it reflects so brightly. I wish I knew more about the badge and where this was made, possibly a presentation piece? It does work, I turned it on for display and the light bulb is included but I can\'t say as it will survive shipping. A rare find due to the country of origin and workmanship, great Christmas present to yourself or another collector. Thanks for looking and if you have any questions feel free to ask.
