Candlestick Brass Capstan Type Hurricane Shade Very Large Pair Brass Rim Candle:

Pair of hurricane candlesticks. No markings for maker or age. We found them at an estate sale in San Diego, California. The bases are brass and shaped like capstans. The hurricane shades are clear glass with a brass ring at the top. Each measures 17 3/4\" tall, of that 15 3/4\" is the shade. The bases are 5 1/4\" tall by 7 1/4\" wide. Each one weighs 4 pounds. The base will accept a standard taper candle with a 3/4\" bottom. They\'ll come with the burgundy-red candles we found them with; they\'re 12\" tall.
