Cast Iron \"TRICK DOG-6 PART BASE\" Mechanical Bank Original Antique Toy:
$385.00

Tonight I am listingsome antique original cast iron Mechanical Banks. The banks are being listed tonight with and a very reasonable starting price. The owner of the banks has reluctantly decided to part with much of his collection. This is the \"TRICK DOG-6 PART BASE\"Mechanical Bank designed by Daniel Cooke, Camden, New Jersey and manufactured by the Shepard Hardware Co. It was patented July 31, 1888. The bank has no cracks orbreaks and is in wonderful condition. Many of these banks have had touch-ups or repaints. This bank; however, still has its original paint which is strong and bright. The bank was later made by the Hubley Mfg. Co. They made it using a 6-part base and then later a solid base. The one shown here is the oldest andrarest of the \"Trick Dog\" banks. The last picture is from the Supplee Hardware Co. catalog in1893.

To operate, a coin is placed in the mouth of the dog. The lever on the side of the bank is pressed and the dog jumps through the hoop and deposits the coin into the barrel. The Shepard rectangular coin plug as well as the key are included. The bank is in proper working order and is approximately 8 3/4\" long, 3\" wide and 7 1/2\" high. International buyers are welcome and pay additional shipping costs. Please view the other banks up for sale tonight.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL buyers!
