Upfor sale is a very nice decorative plate commemorating Canada’sCentennial. It pictures “The Fathers ofConfederation” surrounded by the provinces and maple leaves. The back isstamped Wood & Sons Alpine White Ironstone England. This plate is white with soft colors in thecentral design. It is 10 inches indiameter and weighs 1 pound 1 ¾ ounces. The condition is good, there are nochips or cracks but it has crazing and some scratches. There are manufacturing flaws such as ayellow paint blob, glaze bumps, pools and pits, and some of the brown designlooks a little runny under the glaze.According to my research, this was a yearlong celebration and includedthe World’s Fair, Expo 67, held in Montreal from April to October.
