CHASE CHROME & COPPER DECO DIABOLO CANDLESTICK - VERY RARE:

This short copper candlestick is # NS-635 in the catalogdesigned by Harry Laylon. and described:Called “Diabolo” because it looks like the “Diabolo” in the old game of thatname. This candlestick is only 2 inches high and is particularly striking withtall candles Diameter 4 ¼ inches.” Itwas produced/advertised only in 1933, and came in 4 finishes, this being thecopper version. It is a serious chunk of copper weighing in at 5 ozs. There are no dents, both top and bottom edgesare nice and round as you can see from the photos. The photos show 3 different views from theside, you can see there is some variation in the tone of the copper, and thattranslates to a variation in the surface texture as well. There is a tiny bit of green discoloration atthe joint of the upper and lower parts, and in the bottom where the candlewould sit. It is not marked. The red candle may not be the best color to gowith copper, but it is all I had and does indeed show how elegant this holderlooks with a candle.
