This is a very largeBeautiful Old Chinese Cinnabar Lacquer Bowl W/Lid with a Rare Pattern dated to the 19th Century. This is of Panel enclosing 14 total Scholars and attendants, and (1) mule carrying Scholar andgathering in Courtyard and Pavilions and also a boat with a Emperor or Scholars and attendants on diaper ground representing water. This is like the \" Four Wonders \" Huangshan Mountains the dragon clawPine trees and theblack tiger Pine Trees andChinese WhitePine alsoand walk over bridges, and 3 different diaper geometric represents - ground, water, air and there are formations of clouds above. The Lid and the Bowl have8 cartouches of Peony\'s and Chrysanthemums and birds, and framed up by Lotus Blossoms that line up the 2 pieces and a footed base. There was a piece similar to mine in 2010 sold at a New York sale for $16,590 with the same Lotus Blossom Pattern and Cartouchs as well. This piece is 10 1/4 inches across widest points and 5 inches tall, and in great condition for its age. This is close to a 1/4 inch thick and the lacquer is gorgeous, this is a very collectable piece and if shipped out of theUSA it will cost more to ship. The pictures don\'t even show all detail and beauty and weight of this piece.
