We are pleased to offer this Chinese export silver 11 dragon scholar\'s box.

From Wang Hing.

The dragon box in unique steep walled circular form.

Adorned with eleven dragons.

Each distinct.

Center with large Chinese dragon encircling the sacred pearl.

Cover\'s edge and side wall each with pairs of dragons in pursuit of one another.

The base with the two largest dragons, their heads turned back over shoulder as the other draws near.

Each dragon with raised head and razor tip fangs. The long convulsing body comprised of hundreds of individually carved scales.

Atop four boldly cast dragon head feet. The heads set atop forward cast rolled fin or tail.

Interior with the original glistening gold wash.

Never monogrammed.

Chinese export silver eleven dragon scholars box is 6 1/2 inches across and 5 tall and weighs 22 1/2 standard ounces.

Hallmarked as shown.

In excellent condition. Rich, lustreous silver patina throughout. The beautifully carved dragons retain their original crisp, vibrant detail. Original gold interior in very fine state. Cover closes flush. Small bump see last image.
