This doll was part of a collection of Asian/Japanese/Chinese dolls I bought in early 2013. I am not a doll expert and I am best-guessing the info based on what I can see and estimate based on 35 years in antique toys. I have taken plenty of pics for you to form your own conclusions. Some of the dolls from this collection might be as early as 1930s.

Original box has some archival tissue and tape repairs; his left hand is cracked in 2 places and he seems to be missing whatever was in the left hand, right hand has paper scroll, some discolor to back of clothing, condition is fine
