Click to View Image Album ** Chinese Porcelain Pillow Mounted as Lamp, Circa Early 20th Century. Waisted rectangular form decorated in grisaille (Empress Dowager design) with a continuous design of two birds perched on a wisteria branch with leafy tendrils and blooms against a yellow enamel ground. Famille Rose ruyi-head and scrolling vine borders at each end. The top with a pierced turquoise double coin design and bats at each corner. Mounted as a lamp with a pierced key-fret wood base with \"CHINA\" stamped on bottom.
OVERALL HEIGHT: 56 cm (22 in), LENGTH OF PORCELAIN PILLOW: 25.3 cm (10 in), WEIGHT: 4 lbs 2.5 oz
CONDITION: Light surface wear. Minor firing flaws. Chip to rim of wood base 2.7 cm in size. Drilled at both ends for mounting. (SEE PHOTOS BELOW)
