$140.48

This early CDV (CORTE de VISITE) is of MAJOR GENERAL PATRICK RONAYNE CLEBURNE of the CONFEDERATE ARMY.
Major General PATRICK CLEBURNE was known as the \"STONEWALL JACKSON OF THE WEST\". He participated in many campaigns, including the Battle of Stones River, the Battle of Missionary Ridge and the Battle of Ringgold Gap. He was killed in 1864 at the Battle of Franklin.
Major General CLEBURNE served in the 41st Regiment of Good, a Welsh regiment of the British Army prior to his immigration to the United States.
As the pictures show, the CDV is complete and has the general\'s name on the front and back in script. There is a light crease along the left side of the CDV near the edge.
Payment may be made through PayPal. Thanks.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION -
I have had a couple of messages on the identity of this CDV. One says it is Not Major-General CLEBURNE. However, the name written in script on both the front and the back of the CVD were done many, manyyears ago. And, research shows several pictures of the General. They are close, but I\'m not sure after looking at photographs of General Canety.
The second message states that the CDV is of Brig. General JAMES CANETY. The message is from a Great-great grandson. General CANETY fought in the Mexican-American War in the Palmetto Regiment.
He joined the CSA and helped form the 15th Alabama Volunteer Infantry Regiment at the start of the war and led the Regiment in STONEWALL JACKSON\'S Valley Campaign. He also fought in the Battle of Cross Keys and Seven Days Battles. In 1863 he was made Brig. General in the Army of Tennessee and fought in the Atlanta and Franklin-Nashville campaign.
I also looked for General CANETY\'s information and pictures. His picture does closely resemble the CDV identified as Major General CLEBURNE.
