This canteen is copied directly from an original in a private collection. I was personally able to measure and examine the original to help aide in the reproduction of this canteen. These can be seen in numerous photographs and originals reside in nearly every major musuem collection across the country. Originals can also be seen in E.O.G. along with all edditions of Sylvia & O\'Donnels civil war canteens book. Measures 6 inches across and 1 5/8 deep.
