Lovely antique china head doll She\'s dates from the \"Civil War\". 1860-70s flat top with high brow. Sweet face with painted features. Molded eyelids! Made in Germany. Marked 2 on the back of her shoulder plate. Older cloth body with china arms/hands and molded boots. Wonderful OLD dress and underclothes. The clothes may not be as old as she is~but definitely antique! Measures 11.5\" tall. Head and shoulder plate are in good condition. No chips or cracks. Flat top do\' with center part. Little bit of wear to the back of hair. Good face coloring. Blue painted eyes. No nostril dots. No color rubs or scratches. Not sure if the body is original. If not, it\'s very old! Cloth body with china hand and feet. Hands look original~no evidence of repair. Boots and garters are 2 different colors. One blue and the other brown~even different glazes. The whole legs are hand stitched to the torso so not sure which is original. No tears or loss the to body. Wonderful old clothing! It definitely has age! She wears a gown of black suiting with woven blue dots. The skirt front has rows and rows of delicate black lace and blue velvet ribbon. Wide puffed sleeves. Black lace around the neckline. Underneath, a chemise, fine cotton and lace petticoat and pantaloons. The clothes were made for her and fit her perfectly! The nap of the blue velvet lace has worn away and there is color fading. Otherwise, in very good condition!
**This doll was part of a local doll lovers collection! She was a true \"old tyme\" collector! She collected everything doll related and inventoried it all in many many albums. I\'ll be including the inventory page for this doll. It\'s just a neat piece of her history!
