Civil War Era Mourning framed CDV or tintype of mother and deceased child. Apologies for what today is considered moroffer, but at that time, with photography being a luxury, sometimes this was the only way to have an image of a child. So people took these pictures to have the memory of the deceased. Not moroffer in those days.
Image is under glass from the period as it has black edges. Mother and child both have gold accents on their images. Measures 5\" x 4\".
As I will not take apart, I cannot confirm CDV or tin.
