original Civil Warletterincluding the cover dated Farmington April 6th/63.The cover lookssmaller than the letter so I think it could have been for another letter.Some of the writing is hard to read I translated the best I could. The letter reads:

Brother anzi

I recd your letter last saturday............Otis is Chaplain his pay since the 31st of January has been 118 dollars per month.........says he is not required to fight but he shall take his rifle and the time will tell whether he ........to use it on the enemy, he has no sympathy with the coper heads he says they have none in the army and he wishes they were all out south where we could whip the whole infernal crew has wear and stain marks, there is a large split mark on the middle fold, the cover has you have any questions feel free to ask.
