Woman\'s Size Small Chemise. Not period correct but close enough to be a great starter chemise for the beginning reenactor. I purchased these nightgowns for sale in my Civil War sutlery This darling little night gown is 100% cotton woven with small Swiss-dot, clip-spot style dots. The neckline, arms-eye and bodice are all decorated with narrow rows of self fabric ruffles. It opens in the front and buttons with four small textured plastic button, which resemble antique shell buttons. The body of the chemise is gathered below the bust with a row of elastic, onto the bottom edge of the yoke.
It measures 38\" and is 44\" from the back neckline (which is lowered.) It has a simple turned hem which is about 62\" across. As with period chemises, it was worn about calf-length.
This is a new item, and has never been used.
