Timeless Stitches TSB-121 GATHERED BODY (BLOUSE)-GUIMPE. This is a new, unused pattern in the original factory fold.
Thepattern is available two size ranges:
Misses: petite (30\" bust),small (34\" bust), medium (38\" bust), large (42\" bust).
Plus: XL (48\" bust), XXL (52\" bust) and XXXL (56\" bust).
This is a pattern for a wonderful easy to make and fit blouse called a \"guimpe.\" These bodies or as we knowthem today, blouses, appeared in all the fashion magazines of theEra. They were worn under all types of garments, from the open-necked dresses to Swiss Bodies, vests and Zonal waists.
The blouse is styled in the peasant style, with diagonal arms-eye, similar to a modernraglan sleeve. This makes the garment easy to fit and wonderfully comfortable to wear. The pattern is for a blouse that gathersat the neckline and the cuffs. The blouse can be dressed up by adding a row of lace around the neck and cuffs. The blouse is closed at thecenter back witheither a keyhole opening or buttons and buttonholes.\"
The pattern calls for 3 yards of 45\" fabric. Small white buttons: 3-1/4\" buttons for keyhole opening or 7-1/2\" buttons if you are doing the buttons and buttonholes. 1/4 yard of 1/4\" white ribbonor soutache braid for loops for the keyhole opening. 1 yard of narrow lace if desired for trimming the neckline.
