Couldn\'t wait to get my hands on the new Marchador to paint and now I\'ve done two of them! He\'s so detailed and handsome-the mold is just a pleasure to work on! That being said, I couldn\'t just repaint this guy, I had to mess with him a little bit.

First he was lightly prepped. Then I disconnected his tail from his hind leg and put some distance between the two of them to further give the impression of movement! His rear hock was rebuilt where the tail was detached. I wanted to tweak his headset just slightly so I tucked his head just a little bit. I also wanted to give the impression that he was an older, more refined gentleman so I gave him a slightly relaxed lower lip. He\'s got added mane at the poll and a thickened blowing forelock as well. He was then finished in acrylics and pastels to a rich red bay with 4 socks, natural colored hooves and a blaze on his face that ends in a pinked nose. His eyes and nostrils have been glossed for realism as well. He\'s been signed discretely on his belly in black. He\'ll be sealed in a zillion coats of matte spray and ready to go off to his new home!
