Details:

A beautiful Spanish Toledo Cup hilt Rapier used in the conquest of Colonies in the Americas.

The hilt is veryinterestingwith a handle made of bone having a top and bottom ferrule (These may have beenreplacements)

The guard is large andconsistsof a cup hilt and a single quillon on either side which branch out connecting to the cup and extending towards the pommel to form a knuckle guard.

On the internal section of the cup there is a Toledo smithsmark.

The blade is a double edge which has a double fuller on either side. The condition of the blade is good considering its age and all the use it has seen.

Some knicks on the edge are present.

It is hard to come by untouched andunspoiledpieces in good condition.
