Impressive July 14, 1780 Twenty Dollars Thin Rice Paper Virginia Note PCGS graded About New-53
Treasury of Virginia. July 14, 1780. Twenty Dollars. Printed on Thin Rice Paper. PCGS graded About New-53.
Fr. VA-184. This bright, fresh and vivid looking Revolutionary War Virginia currency note has exceptional wide margins on all four sides with excellent brown signatures and overall eye appeal. A rather remarkable example of this paper money as it is printed on Thin Rice Paper which is about the thickness of half a ply of toilet paper! The holder notes, apparent small edge tear at left, minor ink erosion (which is trivial). This note also having the dual denominations of both values: 6 / Six Pounds and Twenty Dollars on the reverse. As nice and high grade a note as one is likely to encounter.
