THE CHICKADEES Needle Treasures cross stitch kit Gere Leeds JCA Inc.

A flowering branch seems to be the gathering place for afamily of chickadees on a warm spring day.

The size is 15 x 19. The aida fabric is attached to plywood backing and it is mounted with a mat. I had a frame available that will be used to frame this picture. When that is done the plastic on the embroidery will be removed first. If you do not want the frame I can adjust the price $10.00 lower. Please let me know.

It is from theJCA Needle Treasures Collection. It is designed by Gere Leeds. Included in the listing is a picture of the kit which is not included in this listing. It is only shown for reference purposes.

All the kits made by the JCA (Johnson Creative Arts) company were manufactured in the United States as was this kit.

This picture was a model crafted by hand to a needpoint kit which would have been on display in a store to show the prospective buyers how the item will look when finished. I was able to acquire quite a few of them; some were just matted and others framed.

Ilearned recently that the name on many of these finished pieces identified thecompany as JCA Inc. with an address in Massachusettes. They evidently ceasedoperations and will not be making/distributing anymore needlecraft kits. Thesefinished piece from kits are already hard to find and will only be offeredoccasionally perhaps on the internet. Per the JCA website:
