Made in London, England 1920 early 30s. This handsome littlechap is made of mixed Red and Black hard rubber to form a wood effect known as mottled or ripple. Like the finest Bur Walnut. Superb colour with zero oxidation etc. Very rare to find so clean and bright. Has a beautiful Gloss and Sheen still. Its Dinkie etc barrel imprints are deep and easy to read. This pen has been used very little in its life and always looked after. Designed for Women to wear around the neck on a chain or Ribbon as was the fashion of the day. The Dinkie range wasadvertised as the worlds smallest practical pen. Of all the Dinkie Range the 526 is the smallest. Perfect to fit in any size pocket, purse or note book/diary etc.
The pen has no cracks, splits or repairs etc.The Lever, Ring Band and Cap Ring top are Yellow Gold Plated. All superb with only the lightest of patina expected of age and use. Overall once in the hand to the naked eye looks fabulous still. As beautiful as this pen is to look at it writes even better. Very creative nib full of personality.
