This is a museum quality piece of jewelry. The gold and coral set serpent pendant is stunning!!!!!! The design of this piece is the very best. It is so simple and classic! The beautiful gold and the curving form create a piece to die for!

In the Victorian era the snake was the symbol of eternal love. It has come to symbolize sexuality, rebirth and wisdom. The jewel is from the estate of a New York aristocrat and dates to c1860-1900.

The pendant is in excellent condition. The pendant is 35 mm (1 3/8 inches) long including the top loop. It is 7 mm wide at the widest portion. The pendant tests for 14-16K gold. The pendant weighs 2.7 grams.
