Fine earthenware, tea cup, a matching saucer and plate with scalloped edges, in the Crown Ducal, Gainsborough, tableware shape, decorated with Crown Ducal\'s floral Charm pattern. Gainsborough was the earliest of the Crown Ducal embossed patterns and was introduced in October 1929. The design features transferred floral medallions, enhanced with over glaze hand enamelling, extensively embossed with a self coloured floral relief mould with borders of raised moulded flowers on a rich ivory, cream coloured ivory glaze.

The trio is offered in excellent used vintage condition with no chips, cracks or restoration and surprisingly for this type of glaze there is absolutely no crazing. The cup has a couple of glaze mark and a smudge of paint on the rim. The base of the saucer has a tiny nick on the inside rim and 3 distinct firing marks. The plate has a few firing and glaze marks on the base.
