Thank you for viewing our sale. Offered is a 6th plate Civil War tintype of a double armed Union Soldier. This image is a seated view armed with his rifle, colt pistol, pouches and breast plate. The tintype is marked and dated on back. Written on the back is \"this was taken in 1864 when he enlisted\". Unfortunately, who \"he\" is, is not written. The image is housed in a pressed wood case and is encased inside a mat that is bent over the image at the corners.

This tintype has grazing, however the image appears to be stable. A few minor bends noted in the body of the tin. Case has been repaired at spine and has functional latches.
