DETECTIVE COMICS 371 BATMAN 1st NEW BATMOBILE CLASSIC BATGIRL CVR DC SILVER NR:
$11.89

This is Issue #371 of Detective Comics from January 1968, with cover art by Infanto and Henderson.
Main story is \"Batgirl\'s Costume Cut-Up,\" featuring Batman, Robin, and Batgirl, a hilarious and depressing example of sixties sexism. Batgirl\'s continual readjusting of her disheveled costume during chases repeatedly allows criminals to escape, until she deliberately flashes shapely legs while pretending to examine a run in her tights. The crooks break off their fight and imminent victory over Batman and Robin to stare, and are beaten to a pulp and captured while distracted. Afterwards, a newly-confident Batgirl gushes to herself, \"I just didn\'t have the heart to tell Batman and Robin that I tore my tights deliberately--to give me an excuse for showing off my leg and distracting those crooks! The fact that my feminine weakness betrayed me so often in the past--I just had to prove it has its strong points too!\"
Issue also contains an Elongated Man story by Gardner Fox, art by Mike Sekowsky and Sid Greene, \"The Bellringer and the Baffling Bongs.\"
International buyers will be responsible for customs and any additional fees.
