This a true and original Damascene piece. I visitedSpain and was able to see the artists at work. There is an immense amount of work that goes into producing one piece.There were several steps as listed below - I was so impressed on the tour I bought this large artwork piece that I have listed and several jewelry pieces. I have treasured this piece and would like to pass on to someone that appreciates intricate artwork, especially beautiful and delicate bird scene. This is a rare piece, most of Damascene art is very Arab specific - this is a piece that can be appreciated by many in its simplicity and beauty. This piece has been cherished and deserves to be showcased in a home for many to see and appreciate. I am selling this at half the price purchased at.What I tried to capture is that the birds are 3D, they have form and shape that stands above the picture - which only makes it more amazing - that the scene can be captured with such life-like quality! Intricate but delicate - it most likely took hundreds of hours to create.
