GENUINE ANTIQUE PRINT, NOT A MODERN REPRODUCTION. THIS PRINT IS ACTUALLY OVER 100 YEARS OLD. Lovely wood engraving in top condition -- NICER looking than my scan (scans often create a strange optical effect -- Moire lines -- and are strictly a scanner artifact. Actual artwork doesn\'t have those strange optical patterns.

Artist: Gustave Dore. In the title of this listing you\'ll see a [Inv.DG#_____ ... that is simply a code a I use to let me know precisely where in my inventory here I can find the item once purchased (helps me process orders quicker). If you\'d like to see all the G. Dore artworks of this series you can go to the search box for my store (above) and do a description search for the word DOREGAL ... to view ALL the Dore artworks I have (even those from different series) just do a description search for the word DORE and that will bring them up. TYPE OF PRINT: Wood Engraving, produced one-side only. Sheet is approximately 9x12\" with artwork approximately 7 3/4 x 9 3/4\" (this print is part of a series and some in the series have slightly larger or slightly smaller art areas... if precise size is needed just let me know -- ideal matting and framing size is 11x14). There is nothing printed on the back. Title appears below artwork alongside the plate number. No age spots, no creases. HIGH GRADE condition. Produced in the late 1800s.
