Here is the original art for Carol Day #1227-1229, a three day run from the storyMoney Matters,the fourteenth Carol Day story, which ran in 1960.

This is the second and last story featuring the scurrilous Edward Black after his first appearance in Dangerous Currents. Here he is even more of a cad than in his earlier appearance, and in this story he takes advantage of a lottery winner who hopes to use his new-found money to climb the social ladder.

In this sequence, Ernie\'s boat has miraculously made it through the storm and Edward struggles with his conscience, but not hard enough that he decides to do the right thing! Beautifully atmospheric panels in each of these strips.

Board size of each is about 19 by 7.75 inches, with an image size of each about 17 x 5.25 inches. MInor whiteout to correct dialog balloon edges.
