Dear little 1860\'s Valentine Card/ Mailed Envelope/ American Civil War Era :

This tiny Valentine card has an embossed border of flowers and features the colours of pink, white and gold.It has a sentiment verse, \"Accept\", which is printed in blue.It was actually mailed from a lady to her gentleman friend in New Preston, Connecticut.It is not postmark dated, but the pen cancelled stamp, placed upside down, is from the era of the Civil War.Also written in period ink upside down is the name \"Nora O\" and the date \"Feb 13\", the day before Valentine Day.Sized 9 x 5.75 cm or 3.5 x 2.25 inches.
The condition for this card is very good, considering its age and the fact that it was probably handled a lot.It does obviously show wear and it has two pin marks, mainly seen on the back.
Please look carefully at all the photos.All items will be be packed in mylar sleeves and posted in cardboard envelopes.
