Offered here is an original issue Delilah Noir vinyl BJD (Ball Jointed Doll), from Ashton Drake. This was Ashton Drake going in a different direction, and I believe they had some success with this doll, as I find her very appealing. I bought the first issue and didn\'t follow through with collecting her, so she has been safely tucked away in her box for many years, and she needs a new home, please!
She stands on her own and is articulated at the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, waist, knees and you can change her feet at the ankles. Her wigs stay on with velcro strips attached to both the doll\'s head and the interior of the wig. There is a removable head cap, so her eyes can also be swapped out, as with most BJDs.
She has a teenage body. She is not a child doll, she is a young woman.This version of the Delilah Noir doll comes with two wigs, blonde and brunette, two sets of feet, flat and high heeled, and two ALMOST complete outfits. She is missing her boots. I took the doll to a meet up when I first received her, and evidently, her boots were made for walking, \'cause that\'s just what they did. Never saw them again, and never replaced them because at the time, there was nothing available on the market. I would imagine that has changed considerably. So I am pricing the doll accordingly.
This doll has beautiful, subtle make up. Her brown eyes are inset glass or acrylic, and she has applied lashes in a soft brown. Her eyebrows are also a soft brown, so they go well with either wig. Her blush is subtle and her lips are a soft natural color. There is a space in her sculpt where her mouth appears to be slightly open, but no teeth are painted or inset. Both the fingernails and toe nails on both sets of feet are painted black, She has pierced earrings in silver tone drop style with faceted beads in black and red.
She stands15 1/2\" tall with her flat feet, about 16\" with her high heeled feet. The interchangeable feet are on pegs, and you work the peg out by gently tugging and twisting, and the alternate foot goes on the same way. Difficult if you have arthritis as I do, so please be aware of that. She has a joint above her waist, allowing her torso to twist a bit for interesting posing.
Her School Girl outfit is called \"Class Act\" and consists of: a pair of black, above the knee hose, which are lined with white netting, black platform loafers, a white cotton shirt with decorative buttons and a snap closure, a black ribbon necktie that also snaps closed in back, a pleated, plaid skirt and a black cotton, two button blazer.
Her Party outfit is called \"Violaceous Rave\" and comes with purple panties, a pair of purplecoveredwith black lace hose, a purple \"Lolita\" style dress, a black faux velvet cut-away jacket and a pretty beaded necklace, cute as can be.
Delilah Noir has her original hangtag and box, and she will be shipped in a replacement card board shipper, as I do not have the original shipper. No stand. She was not sold with a stand. Use a waist gripper style for stability.
