This lovely whimsical teapot depicts an old Boarding School. It is beautifully crafted and cast with intricate detailing, and touches of real gold. Although this teapot looks fragile, it is a high-quality china, similar to bone china. It does not easily chip and is actually quite durable! The body is a beautiful Cream color, with a terra cotta roof. The terra cotta brick base has a set of stairs that lead to a door on both ends, one for girls, and one for boys. There is a little butterfly sitting on top of the boys roof. The top edges of the intricately paned windows are accented with a delicate gold line. The teapot has a lovely iridescent finish overall, with a beautiful shine.
The body measures 7 ½” high (8 ” to bell tower top) and 4” wide (8” across overall from handle to spout). It will hold about 3 cups (24 oz) of tea. The 4\" x 6\" base and depth of the teapot makes it an ideal size for a narrow shelf, or back of the stove. The smaller 2” opening at the lid also makes this teapot an excellent vase for a floral bouquet! Makes a beautiful gift that will delight the most discriminating tea lover!
