Department 56 Christmas In The City Series

CONDITION: Used, displayed only. Sleeve shows shelf/storage wear. (see photos)

DESCRIPTION:Wintergarten Cafe #56.58948, porcelain house with UL listed light cord. Please close up on the 1st photo and look at the microbrewery copper finish. I assume it\'s designed to look a little used and weathered, and so the copper has some scratches on the surface. I don\'t know how else the chimney, that is housed inside the outdoor patio, would have come in contact with something to scratch it.

Christmas In The City Series: The hustle and bustle along city sidewalks during the holiday season is just the place for excitement and cheer. Inspired by this imagery, the Christmas in the City series was introducted in 1987....
The Heritage Village Collection includes several lighted Village series, each with its own distinctive style. Each piece is handcrafted of porcelain, individually hand painted, and characterized by the matte finish.. Cast into the mold is the Department 56 logo - a guarantee of authenticity. Every year pieces are retired from production and the molds broken. This limits the number of pieces and allows for new additions.
These pieces are protected in a thick styrofoam, to keep shipping costs down I\'ll just wrap them in brown shipping paper rather than put in an extra box.
