Die Cut Sheet Chromo Greetings Calling Cards Buildings Columbian Expo 1893 This unusual souvenir Columbian Exposition of 1893 is a sheet of 6 chromolithograph die cuts with images of the US Government Building, Machinery Hall, the Hall of Mines, the Electrical Building, the Administration Hall and the Fisheries Building. Around each building is a hand holding a spray of flowers, and a greeting at the bottom - \'\'With my compliments\'\', \'\'With my best wishes\'\', \'\'Very truly yours\'\', \'\'With loving greeting\'\', From your friend\'\', and \'\'With kindest regards\'\'. The die cuts look like those colorful tops on \'\'hidden name\'\' calling cards, which had a plain white card with the caller\'s name printed in the middle, and they are about the same size. The greetings, however may mean that they were intended as gift tags. The sheet measures 7 1/4 by 6 3/4 inches. Each card is about 3 1/2 by 2 inches and is separated by little paper tabs. A tab is the center is printed with 956 Germany\'\'. All but one of the tabs on the card at the lower right has torn, leaving the card just barely attached to the rest.
