I Have added something new to my listing. Two field pictures showing the skin as it laid covering the Edmontosaurus and a picture showing the Edmontosaurus articulated as it laid on the hill side. Almost a complete specimen, this is a rare picture to see a almost complete dinosaur laying in the ground.. All skin fossils come direly off of this dinosaur in the picture. No copies of any photo\'s was a large, plant-eating, duck-billed dinosaur from the late Cretaceous period. It had short arms, a long, pointed tail, three-toed, hoofed feet, and mitten-like hands. Its head was flat and sloping with a wide, toothless beak, cheek pouches, and hundreds of closely-packed cheek teeth that ground up its food. It was about 42 feet (13 m) long and may have weighed up to 3.5 tons. It was a biped (it walked on two legs) that could also walk on four legs, perhaps to graze low-lying plants. Edmontosaurus was a slow-moving dinosaur with few defenses, but may have had keen senses (eyesight, hearing, and smell) to help it avoid predators in its swampy habitat. Edmontosaurus had leathery skin (as determined from two mummified Edmontosaurus fossils found in Wyoming). It may have had loose skin around its nose area - some paleontologists think that it may have been able to blow up this skin like a balloon, perhaps for mating rituals or intra-species rivalry. It had a series of bumps (tubercles) running along its neck, back, and tail. The Duck Billed dinosaur skin above for sale is from South Dakota found in the Hell Creek formation. Own your personal specimen of this rare find of skin impressions from right off the dinosaurs body. You can see all the detail of the skin formation. Be one of the only collectors to have this item in your collection.Make your offerbefore this great item is gone. This fossil was removed from our own almost complete Edmontosaurus find in South Dakota. 100% realguaranteed, letter stating the find with purchases.
This is one of the best quality fossils showing the details of the skin formations of aEdmontosaurus. The fossil shows the formation of the skin with full detail on how this great dinosaur looked on the outside. Your collection is not complete without this fossil. This quality does not come around tooften. I have work in the field for over 15 years in Colorado and SouthDakota, this one item is very hard to find. When you look at how manydinosaurs have been found to have skinattached, you will see why this item is rare. The fossils has not been treat with anypreservative, it is the way it was found in the field.

This is a rare purchase
After looking at the offering to date on this fossil, I do not understand why it is still so low on the offerding. Of all the specimens I have put up for sale over the last few months this one skin fossil has some of the rarest outline of dinosaur skin I have found on the Edmontosaurus I excavated in Badlands of South Dakota. The raised areas on the fossil show the large skin cells and the areas that look smooth show rare patterns of the Edmontosaurus skin and layers & folds of skin. The specimen also show contours of the body. Look at this fossil very close , it is the only one I have found out of hundreds removed from the Edmontosaurus.
