This is a cool original metal boarding hook from Curse of the Black Pearl. These were seen and used on just about every ship in the film. However, I think this is from the Pearl, more on that next.The prop was rescued from the Disney lot in Burbank (next to stage 2) where they were shooting parts of the film. They were dumped into dumpsters after demolishing the set. This was in a dumpster with some other pieces of the Pearl. This is made of a very heavy metal, maybe cast iron just like the real thing from a Pirate ship would be.There were only a few of these for the ship. These were used for the pirates to board another ship. There would be a rop attached and they would throw the it or put it in a cannon and shoot it at the other ship and then swing or climb aboard.
A personal LOA will be provided for the original prop. It has some wear from use and age. But overall it is in good shape It measures about 7 inches long.
