click to enlargeFor sale is this Royal Doulton Kingsware flask titled \"The MacNab\", which dates from 1915. The subject was taken from a portrait owned by Dewars, painted in 1810 by Sir Henry Raeburn. It is a portrait of Francis MacNab, the 12th Laid of the MacNabs.The face of the flask shows a the Laird in full Scottish highland dress. The reverse has just \'DEWAR\'S\', the base has the Doulton stamp.Condition: good professional restoration to the neck – it does not show, a glaze bubble above A in Dewar\'s on the reverse, 2 minor glaze chips on the base – which are hidden in normal viewing; overall age-induced crazing – typical for most of these flasks. This is best seen in the pictures. Size: The height is 23 cm, about 10cm wide; unpacked, it weighs 560 g.
