This Frankart lamp transports one to another era. An era
where mansions glittered and sparkled with crystal,
when lions stood guard outside 12 foot entryways
and when a man\'s home would be decorated with young
lady servants who provided light, collected ash or dispensed
candy. The deco period was a delightful reaction
to the industrial revolution. Modern life in the cities meant
freedom to indulge in life\'s beautiful things.
A Duesenberg (or two) in the garage, a chaffeur to
drive it and take one to purchase something for the den -
such as this exquisite Frankart lamp that serves
up both light and whatever one wants to place on
the serving tray.This lamp is in very good condition. It has been repainted several
times. A crackle glass globe sits on the socket and creates
a great light show when turned on.
