TOTALLY BIZARRE !! ... THE MORE HISTORY / INFORMATION I FIND, THE MORE IN DEPTH THESE BEAUTIES BECOME! ... MARKED/SIGNED ON THE BACKS \"THE BUFFALO SPRINGFIELD STEAM ROLLER Co. SPRINGFIELD, OHIO\" ... OK, The Business in itself has quite the history, but not in Jewelry Making!?! ... so I figured advertising or some type of promo, perhaps given to share or stockholder\'s ... then I start to see the connection to the BUFFALO SPRINGFIELD BAND from the 60\'s ... Who created their name from the cast iron nameplate pried off the side of a steam roller signed piece of equipment made by the Buffalo Springfield Roller Company that had been parked on the street outside Band Member\'s house/apartment (where Stills & Furay were staying) ... You can see The Cast Iron Nameplate on one of their recording covers ... So, here we are ! An obviously antique pair of cufflinks embossed with the name of a company which started in the 1800\'s ... and has a connection to the Fab Music Group \"BUFFALO SPRINGFIELD\" by a simple twist of fate (yep, why not include Bob Dyan!!!) which included names (Don\'t laugh but I remember the group well!lol) ~ RICHIE FURAY ~ STEPHEN STILLS ~ NEIL YOUNG ~ DEWEY MARTIN ~ BRUCE PALMER ~ JIM MESSINA ~ KEN KOBLON ~ JOE VITALE ~ RICK ROSAS ~ some at different times, more big names standing in like Buddy Miles etc. ... 2 or more have , I believe, have passed on now ... All this info still doesn\'t help me answer WHO MADE THESE ... to be worn by whom? ... and what an odd connection to MUSIC ... AND why the heck do they look just like the buffalo on the old buffalo nickels!?! ... so they also have a connection to coins ... But, These Cufflinks are Ovals, not your typical coin made to jewelry (Actually look like Gold Over Sterling) ... Anyone with information to add to my wonderment, lol, would be much appreciated ...
