SAVINELLI...my late fathers favorite pipe brand. This is another previously smoked yet still in excellent condition estate pipe. This pipe does NOT use the 6mm balsa filter so I can only assume it is pre 80\'s. This pipe was professionally cleaned & buffed by master pipe maker Rich Lewis. As the picture shows it is stamped on the bottom with the S(shield logo), 121KS ITALY, SAVINELLI PUNTO ORO. Weight is 1.4oz, length is about 5 1/2\", bowl height is about 1 1/2\", bowl top diameter is 1 1/2\", bowl chamber is about 7/8\". The vulcanite bit is clean & the brass dot is crisp. Finish is natural & my pictures should show it\'s beauty. Mauro Armellini is said to be the creator of the Corallo finish. This shape is a classic 1/4 bent pot, another favorite of my dads & hehad a lot of them in all types of finishes so keep watching my listings.
Today if this pipe were new it has a retail of $600, & is discounted to $480 by a very big smoking pipes e-tailer.
