Description

This Incredible quality enamel bowl shaped item, but it\'s purpose is a bit of a mystery to me, but I do recall seeing a similarly shaped object with a rock crystal pedestal base.

Whatever, I have never seen such superb enamelling; the workmanship is far superior to even the finest works of Japanese cloisonne, and it leads me to conclude that it may be from the Faberge workshop or from another top Russian master.

The bands top and bottom look to me to be gold, but I am not sure.

There is some damage on the enamel, but luckily it does not seem to be on the hand painted scenes or floral decoration.

Please study the images and remember that this is a very small object which makes the enamelling all the more impressive in the flesh.
