Hello and thank you for taking the time to view my sale listing. I have available for your offer and consideration, (1) EXTREMELY RARE, CALIFORNIA STATE ROUTE, “13” PORCELAIN, BUTTON COPY, Overhead Road Sign. This sign measures, 36” wide and 36” tall, and has all the original button reflectors in place. There is very minimal, porcelain c chips , by the mounting holes. There was only, a total of , (( 6. )) of this size, 36” Signs, ever used along this, 7 mile stretch of road in, Alameda, County, California. The shape of this sign is known as a, “ SPADE “ , adopted from the original, 49’ers, Spade, Gold Prospecting tool, during the Gold Rush. This sign it very, straight with , No Creases, other than the two bottom , mounting holes, as seen in my pics. The backside is, white porcelain, with “Ala” for Alameda , and CA-66 ( showing where it came from, California and date code 1966 ) I know for a fact that 6 were removed, of these overheads, 4 of the 6 were scrapped, and Only 2 survived. I have two and only have this one currently available for sale. I’m keeping the other, one, which is in the same condition and size. I will, ship via USPS, the following business day, with this sign wrapped up in heavy wrapping paper, between two pieces, of high density foam, and then boxed, to protect it really well for shipping.
