For sale is this extremely rare, museum quality antique 12th century islamic Seljuq Dynasty tray. The Seljuq dynasty was a Sunni Turkish dynasty that adopted the Persian culture. It was founded in the 10th Century.

This tray dated from approximately 12th - 13th Century. It is a very rare tray. It has a large size but it has also been inlaid with Copper. If you have been following my other items I have sold, they have been made of copper alloys and none of them were inlaid with any sort of metal. This large tray has been hand chased and also inlaid with copper which is VERY RARE to see.

The is beautiful floral motifs and calligraphy chased onto the tray.

This item is genuine and guaranteed to be Seljuq and dating to 12th - 13th Century.

The quality is beautiful, and this is a must have item for any collector of high quality Islamic antiques andantiquities.

Size

The diameter of the tray is 37.7cm= 14.8 inches.

The tray is in very good condition for its age. There is just one slight crack which has been shown in the photos below. Overall the condition is remarkable considering the age of the item.
