DESCRIPTION: Very scarce original printed paperregimental sutler receipt. Blank and unused. Headed \"Camp _____,1864\"......\"The Paymaster of the 14th Regiment N.H. Volunteers....For Valuereceived, please pay to W. A. Farr, Sutler, or order, the sum of______________Dollar________cents, and deduct the same from my monthly payat next pay day.\" Signed \"____________Co I., in Kenneth Keller\'s Book, \"Sutler PaperMoney\", on pages 84 - 85. Listed as an \"R7\" (significant) rarity. All sutleritems are very scarce, and this piece of scrip is no exception!! Absolutelyoriginal, with the nice period paper and \"impressed\" printing style. Hand cut. This is the last one of several from my personal collection. I have had it for more than 35 years. It is absolutely authentic and return privileges are absolutely guaranteed.

Kind of a neat thing as you have probably read aboutsoldiers building up credit accounts with the sutlers for things they wantedand needed between the long pay periods during the Civil War.

This is 2 1/2\" x 4 3/4\", in excellent condition, anda great display piece to go with a variety of soldier displays or collections.You get few opportunities for such rare pieces, so don\'t miss this one fora nice example WITH the regiment and the date!! From my personal collection.
