In the next few weeks I am listing some rare US, Canadian, British and International railroad buttons. There are also some Tramway and Trolley buttons as well. This is part of an 80 year old collection started in the 1930s. This one is an EAGLE OIL TRANSPORT COMPANY 24mm COAT BUTTON 1912-1930. The Eagle Oil Transport Company was founded by Weetman Pearson, 1st Viscount Cowdray in 1912 and sold by him to Royal Dutch Shell in 1919. It was renamed Eagle Oil and Shipping Company in about 1930. Unusual backmark. This button is in very good condition with no dents or pushes. It has not been cleaned. I prefer to leave that to the new owner. My photo is part of the items description.
