Early 1800s European Hanger Sword & Scabbard:

This is am early 1800s hanger sword that I believe is French from the Napoleonic period. It is 100% original early sword and not a modern made one. In good condition the hilt has a nice aged patina to it and is tight with no movement. Has a proof mark on the guard and number on the back strap. The blade is nice with some of the finish worn off and some surface rust spots but in good condition. Stamped on the ricasso with proof marks, a symbol and No 1. The scabbard is a worn and missing the leather at the lower end but the metal support brace is still here. The sword is 28 inches long. Nice early sword you will be pleased with. I start all my sales at $2.00. It has nothing to do withthe quality of the item, I let the buyers decide what it is worth. Good luckofferding on this early European sword.
